Position Description & Summary:
The Lead Systems Engineer will play a critical role supporting TAPE’s growth and profitability. You will lead all parts of the software and hardware development process. This will require integration and testing of existing program models and content. Integration of newly developed collaborative algorithms will be required. You will be updating a SAF that can perform intended mission functions with an advanced collaborative capability fully incorporated.
 
As the Lead Systems Engineer, you will manage technical teams in software development, implementation, methodology design and execution, and distributed and multi-tier development and operations environments. You will use knowledge in large-scale systems engineering, requirements analysis, requirements management, system development, test and evaluation, software and hardware reuse, capacity planning, and quality assurance for large-scale distributed applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Systems engineering effort to transform an operational need or statement of deficiency into a description of system requirements and a preferred system configuration
  • Planning and control effort for planning, monitoring, measuring, evaluating, directing and re-planning the management of design engineering, specialty engineering, production engineering, and integrated test planning.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in engineering discipline or Bachelor’s degree with 15 years’ experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required. Must be certified CompTIA Security+
  • Minimum 12 years’ experience at demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility, with 5+ years’ experience in systems engineering and been the technical lead for a delivered project.
  • Direct experience in requirements analysis, system architecture, data modeling, user interface design.
  • Must have or have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
  • Candidate must be in Orlando, FL area, no relocation assistance available.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Must have a basic understanding of the DoD’s and Army’s software Cybersecurity requirements.
  • Experienced in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/OOD) techniques as well as Java, C++, network communications design, and protocols in a distributed and multi-tier development environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills (verbal and written communication skills) for interfacing with external customer representatives and internal customers and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Familiarity with U.S. Army operations, training, and development or related systems is highly desirable.
  • Thorough familiarity with systems engineering principles and systems engineering CMMI and software CMM.
