Diligent's Partner Young's Engineering Services Inc. is seeking a Software Test Engineer.

Position Description/Summary:
The candidate shall possess and Undergraduate (Bachelor) Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science from an ABET accredited university OR have a minimum of 5 years software and hardware testing industry experience
The candidate shall be considered to be an Emerging Authority (EA) in the discipline of the position.  The candidate shall:
  • Be capable of proficiency in the areas of expertise necessary for the position being filled with moderate to minimal mentoring, training or oversight
  • Have the ability to create and modify software test procedures
  • Have the ability to execute software test procedures as required to meet the scope of systems requirements
  • Have knowledge of software, hardware and firmware testing and verification
  • Be able to accurately create and edit test reports in the format needed by the BCS program
The candidate shall be capable of understanding and completing tasks required to complete software testing with moderate mentoring or direction:
  • Provide estimate guidance for effort requirements (hours) and participate in project launch activities
  • Provide estimates and guidance to project schedule determination
  • Determine test requirements
  • Develop Test Plans, Procedures and Reports
  • Execute test processes, procedures and plans
  • Accurately complete test execution reports for work completed
  • Assist in evaluating test results for impacts to software usability, vulnerability and reliability
Minimum Position Requirements:
The candidate shall have understanding and intermediate ability to utilize industry standard Collaborative Lifecycle Management tools and be able to work according to Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) principles and practices
The candidate shall have familiarity of software script and development languages
The candidate must be able to travel as needed, ~ 1 week per quarter, but not more than 2 weeks continuous duration per event with no more than 4 events per year (2 on average).

Due to the Nature of this position candidates must be a US citizen of good moral character who currently holds or is capable of passing a Department of Defense security investigation for a DoD Secret Clearance will be considered.
