Position Description/Summary:
The scope of this contract is to provide an accredited software baseline of the ECCO product to run on both a ruggedized Dell Latitude E6420 XFR laptop and a HP Z220 desktop. The software baseline includes the CentOS Linux Distro and the latest version of VMWare Workstation. A customized setup script, customized disk partitioning scheme, and an NSA approved encryption method are also used.
Duties include supporting the ECCO software with the following:
  • Fifteen (15) maintenance actions per year.
  • Four (4) modification actions per year
  • One (1) major release annually with Three (3) quarterly patch releases
  • Configuration Management - One (1) system baseline and one (1) major system release annually if needed
  • Maintain existing systems and environments IAW disciplined engineering practices and sustain applications, databases and interfaces in compliance with applicable AF/DoD standards.
  • Support system sustainment activities to include maintaining system through development, testing and until the end of the contract period.
  • Provide application services to support the systems through development and testing
  • Conduct software development and software security.
  • Develop, operate and maintain prototype applications, models and databases to determine optimal solutions for integration concepts and problems integral to the integration process
  • Develop schedules and implementation plans to be delivered via a structure to be determined after contract award (e.g. MS Project).
  • Perform system performance tuning, system re-hosting and integration services.
  • Utilize Government-Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) or approved Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) tools for product design and development

Minimum Requirements:
  • 3+ years of recent software or hardware development experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with Linux development, of the operating system or applications.
  • 2+ years of virtualized infrastructure experience, development or support.
  • 2+ years of experience with IT security control implementation and management within the DoD or Industry.  
Education/Certification Requirements:
  • Security+
