Position Description/Summary: 
The scope of this position is to provide Software Architectural design and  support for implementation of the government system based on Oracle EBS R12.
Duties of the Software Architect include supporting the database and application structures including:
  • Designing the architecture for 4 major releases to the sites listed as part of the contract rollout. 
  • Advising on any infrastructure issues or concerns. 
  • Participating in test design and review 
  • Supporting Configuration Management activities 
  • Maintain existing systems and environments IAW disciplined engineering practices and sustain applications, databases and interfaces in compliance with applicable AF/DoD standards 
  • Support system sustainment and application service activities to include maintaining system through development, testing and production 
  • Develop schedules and implementation plans to be delivered via a TBD structure (e.g. MS Project) 
  • Utilize Government-Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) or approved Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) tools for product design  and development 
  • Collaborate with other team members to add new modules to applications as well as design new functionality for the applications  
  • Participate in analysis and data gathering from internal and external stakeholders to help in the design of the new modules and enhancements 
  • Will be required to present findings and analysis to senior leadership - must have exquisite presentation skills, negotiation acumen and ability to meet tight deadlines
Minimum Position Requirements:

  • Perform occasional travel to contractor and customer sites, as required. 
  • Work is performed indoors with some potential risks to safety and health hazards related to electronics. 
Technical Skills required: 
  • Functional knowledge of Oracle 11i and R12 Enterprise Business Suite (EBS) 
  • Constructing and executing test plans. 
  • Strong attention to detail. 
  • Excellent written/communication skills. 
  • Solid project management skills. 
  • Ability to identify and implement continuous improvement practices. 
  • Proven research skills.  
  • Understanding of industry trends.
Preferred Technical Qualifications:
  • Experience with automation tools 
  • Experience with both Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies 
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies 
  • 5+ years of QA Test Analyst experience 
  • 5+ years of management experience leading software development teams.
  • Be able to work on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and perform all functional duties independently. 
Physical Skills and Abilities:
  • May require lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard and monitor.
Education & Certifications Required by Contract:
  • MS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required 
  • Security+ or other IAT Level II approved certification required.
