Position Description/Summary: 
Duties include coordinating test plans, directing the testing, logging/tracking defects, overseeing the results reviews, reporting of testing status to leadership, and working with the development lead to close defects to resolution.  Evaluation and test activities include, but are not limited to, product evaluation (regression and new capability evaluation), operational scenarios evaluation (real world simulation evaluation considering system topology and concept of operation, disaster recovery, clustering, and load balancing), stress and longevity testing (throughput, speed of service, and duration), interoperability testing, security assessments (VPN, Firewall, security configuration of products and OS, and Common Access Card (CAC) Middleware evaluation), usability testing, transition analysis (upgrade paths), and software/patch evaluation.  Must also support a full range of integration evaluation (to include system performance tuning and re-hosting) activities for currently fielded systems, to include maintenance releases and development releases provided by approved third party developers.  Will be responsible for major VMWARE administration and ability to migrate information to cloud environment (AWS).

Minimum Position Requirements:
Basic Qualifications and Abilities
  • System installation and configuration. 
  • System backup and restore. 
  • System patching and upgrade 
  • System device setup and administration 
  • Network device setup and administration 
  • Manage software maintenance and test environments 
  • Fields: System administration, Network administration 
  • Operating Systems: Windows Server OS, SCO Unix, CISCO IOS, Windows networking, RAID and associated upgrades experience  
  • Experience with Office Productivity products 
  • Good communications skills

Certifications/Education Required:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Master's degree.
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent
