Position Description/Summary:
This position will be  part of the government team supporting maintenance, enhancement, testing and fielding of the Battle System Control – Fixed Air Defense Operations System providing 24/7 Air Defense support for North America.  Candidate must be self driven and disciplined.  Independent work and understanding required to complete software test tasks.  Accurately estimate effort requirements (hours) and participate in project launch activities. Accurately estimate and provide guidance to project schedule determination.  Determine test requirements.  Develop Test Plans and Test Procedures.  Execute Test Processes, Procedures, and Plans.  Evaluate test results for impacts to software usability, vulnerability and reliability.  Experience with "Life Cycle Management Tools" desired (e.g., IBM Clear Case, Rational, Rational Team Concert, etc).   Advanced writing skills (create and edit Test Procedure Documents) desired.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Undergraduate (Bachelor) Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science from an ABET accredited school of engineering AND 4 years’ experience in software and hardware testing 
  • A minimum of 10 years software and hardware testing industry experience.
Skill set includes combinations of: 
  • Test design documentation and test plans creation and management.
  • Test procedure description (TPD) creation and management.
  • Complex test scenario design, development and implementation using scripting languages.
  • Detailed test reports based on test executions with a high level of accuracy.
  • Significant knowledge of software, hardware or firmware testing and verification.
Capable of quickly being able to create, review, and edit test reports in the format needed by the BCS program.
Desired:  working knowledge of software development languages such as C, C++, Java and Ada
