Job Description/Summary:
This position will support an Air Force Squadron to develop, train, conduct, evolve and innovate network and computer forensics capabilities and methodologies on IT based systems and components such as the Internet of Things, both external and internal devices/drives, mobile devices, Wireless, cloud and other emerging technologies and trends.   
  • Perform reverse engineering of suspected malicious items (malware, files, hard drives, etc.)  
  • Perform hard drive analysis of suspected/confirmed compromised systems
  • Participates in the analysis of log files to identify and collect artifacts related to security incidents; analyzes malicious activity to determine weaknesses, methods of exploitation and effects on systems and information.
  • Develop methods to sense, detect, deter, deny, respond and analyze malware-based activities on IT based systems and their components
Minimum Practical Experience and Knowledge Required: 
  • Must have certifications to meet DoD 8570 compliance level III
  • Knowledge of Information Assurance and Security principles
  • Experience with file system forensics
  • Experience with registry analysis
  • Understanding of managing complex large data set analysis
  • Be able to pass client training and certification program and maintain certification in accordance with their documented guidelines and policies
Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Master’s degree in Information Technology, Security, Computer Science, or equivalent 
  • Active CISSP Certification
