CPT - Configuration Management Specialist

Job Description/Summary:
The configuration management position will provide the necessary documentation, including data flow diagrams, network diagrams, requirements documents, design criteria, and test documentation to support baseline management, configuration control, and engineering activities.  
  • Experience in configuration management planning and change control 
  • Responsible for developing lessons learned documents, communication plans, inventory reports, and document responses into the Enterprise Information Technology Data Repository (EITDR)
  • Works with development teams and project managers to develop and maintain configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.) supporting complex systems and project engineering development and support models
  • Maintain accurate CM records of program data (e.g. software baselines, deployment sites and configurations, requirements, CDRLs)
Minimum Practical Experience and Knowledge Required: 
  • Must have certifications to meet DoD 8570 compliance level II
  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum 4 years’ experience
  • Knowledge of configuration management best practices for large computing facilities; 
Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Security, Computer Science, or equivalent 
  • US Air Force (or other military) experience in an aircrew training related discipline is highly desired.
