CyProTech is committed to “Enabling Success” of our client’s missions.  As such, we are searching for the right candidate to work independent and in a team environment performing security analysis utilizing various defense technologies to find and eradicate security threats to our client systems.  In this role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying unique threat capabilities and then taking those through a defined process to improve automated identification capabilities.  This position will require someone who can think freely, be investigative in nature, and solve difficult problems.  If you want to help defend our nation against many of the cyber threats it faces, then we have a position for you.   

Job Description/Summary:
The Cyber Support Analyst will monitor data feeds for cyber threats and work with the intelligence representatives to identify known cyber threat activity tactics, techniques and procedures.  Using this data, the analyst will define risk levels and tune defensive security capabilities to detect indicators for cyber threats and attacks. Research known indicators, correlate events, identify malicious activity, and tune defensive security systems in order to improve client defensive posture.  Produce reports and briefs that highlight the new capabilities of the defensive system and how to properly execute them on client missions. 
  • Experience performing cyber threat analysis utilizing a variety of defensive technologies 
  • Knowledge of computer system functionality and networking fundamentals  
  • Ability to write high-quality reports and briefings for leadership and staff 
  • Ability to analyze problems and generate solutions
  • Knowledge of incident response capabilities
Minimum Practical Experience and Knowledge Required: 
  • Must have certifications to meet DoD 8570 compliance level II
  • Experience working in a security analysis center (i.e. CERT, SOC, etc.)
  • Basic and advanced understanding of security threats, both legacy and current
  • Workable knowledge of defensive security technologies such as ArcSight, Splunk, Fidelis, Wireshark, TCP Dump, NMap, Nessus, etc.
  • Knowledge of Information Assurance and Security principles
  • Be able to pass client training and certification program and maintain certification in accordance with their documented guidelines and policies
Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Security, Computer Science, or equivalent 
  • Active CISSP Certification
