Job Description/Summary:
This position shall provide information assurance expertise to for an Air Force Squadron.  Individual will provide technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized IA/IS applications and systems.  Assist the with Information Assurance on all aspects of DoD network authority/certificate to operate, including DIACAP documentation and certifications. 
  • Ensure products and services comply with all appropriate (ITSEC) certification & accreditation requirements and best practices as prescribed by the ODNI, DIA, DoD, Defense Information systems Agency (DISA), DoD Information Assurance Certification process (DIACAP), Risk Management Framework (RMF) and local authorities.
  • Ensure that all products and services delivered on the contract meet or exceed the security criteria specified by external authorities for product certification and fielding, and do so with minimal need for corrective actions.
  • Perform analysis to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards.
  • Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results and preparation of required reports.
  • Document the results of Certification and Accreditation activities and technical or coordination activity and prepare the system Security Plans and update the Plan of Actions and Milestones POA&M.  
  • Experience in conducting a complete review of each system’s audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed. 
  • Respond to, and process Interim Authority to Operate (IATO) and Interim Authority to Test (IATT) requests for customers.
Minimum Practical Experience and Knowledge Required: 
  • Must have certifications to meet DoD 8570 compliance level II  
  • Knowledge of Information Assurance and Security principles
  • DoD Security Policies, Deployment Life Cycle Acquisition Life Cycle, DAU and ACQ training a plus
Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Security, Computer Science, or equivalent 
  • US Air Force (or other military) experience in an aircrew training related discipline is highly desired
